Attempt at M51 Whirlpool galaxy - missed target

A clear patch in the sky at around 12:15am, got setup and tried to target M51 Whirlpool galaxy. Think the polar alignment and star alignment was out and didn't find the target. Moved around and found what I thought was M51, took an hour of 2 minute exposures. Wasn't until later I realised I had missed the target. Doh
