July 5 2020 - Full Moon, Saturn and Jupiter near each other
After a week or so of cloud the skies cleared a bit to catch this. Looking at the Full Moon without a filter is like shining a bright torch in your eye, not a good idea. Luckily I had bought one so got some nice views in the eyepiece. But a full moon isn't as nice as a slither, hard to get the contrast and all a bit washed out.
All very low in the sky and hiding behind trees.
Nice views of Saturn and Jupiter with its moons. New Svbony 20mm Plossl eyepiece and 5x Barlow is working well but now finding the limitations of the scope.
Best view was watching clouds race past just below a clear image of Jupiter.
A few pics and a quick video.
