Forth night - stars, Jupiter and Saturn
Started at about 11pm, trying to target the brightest stars. Went OK, getting better with the eyepiece and moving around.
Found what looked like a single star, 25mm eyepiece looked a bit stretched, with the 10mm eyepiece I could clearly see two stars next to each other.
Using the 10mm eyepiece is hit and miss, very hard to move and focus without loosing the subject.
Using the 25mm eyepiece and the 2x Barlow got a good look at Jupiter and it's moons. Couldn't see any detail, just a bright blob really.
Got my first look at Saturn, with just the 25mm it looked like a stretched blob, with some fine focusing I could just make the rings. With the 10mm eyepiece and some lucky targeting I could clearly see the rings around the planet.
Even managed a quick view with the 10mm and 2x Barlow, but the focus was a bit out and as soon as I touched the wheel I lost the planet.
Still not much luck with the camera, my first picture of Saturn.
